This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Strategize, compose, and publish a steady flow of blog articles that focus on high-value keywords within the realms of Greek life, collegiate culture, and custom apparel.

• Craft content that fulfills genuine search intent, including practical guides, listicles, comparison articles, and how-to content designed to attract clicks and increase time spent on the page.

• Sustain a content calendar aligned with Fresh Prints' seasonal events: fall recruitment, spring rush, homecoming, formals, philanthropy events, and graduation.

• Write for a college-aged demographic using a voice that embodies Fresh Prints - intelligent, friendly, and slightly irreverent - avoiding corporate or generic tones.

• Compose and optimize meta titles, descriptions, headers, and body text for various pages across the website.

• Recognize internal linking opportunities that enhance crawlability and distribute page authority throughout the site.

• Collaborate with the Tech team to ensure that new content launches are properly set up from an SEO perspective.

• Develop and implement a backlink strategy aimed at the most relevant sites, publications, and communities for Fresh Prints' audience: Greek life media, college newspapers, campus life blogs, lifestyle publications, and higher education marketplaces.

• Write and propose guest posts, data-driven narratives, and resource articles that achieve organic placements.

• Establish connections with bloggers, journalists, and site owners in related fields that discuss collegiate life, campus fashion, and custom merchandise.

• Monitor the link profile using SEO tools and provide reports on domain authority growth and the acquisition of referring domains over time.

• Formulate Fresh Prints' strategy for being featured in AI-generated search results on platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and Bing Copilot.

• Identify the question formats and informational queries where Fresh Prints should be cited, creating content specifically aimed at earning those citations.

• Observe how Fresh Prints is referenced in AI answer engines and modify strategies based on the findings.

• Stay updated on the evolution of generative search and bring back relevant insights.

• Track organic traffic, keyword rankings, backlink acquisition, and content engagement, utilizing this data to influence the content roadmap.

• Conduct regular content audits to identify pages with ranking potential that have not been optimized, and deprioritize or merge underperforming content.

• Develop and enhance the framework for measuring content ROI.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in content marketing, SEO writing, or a related field.

• A portfolio showcasing published work that highlights strong writing quality and search performance.

• Practical experience with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, or similar.

• Proven knowledge of on-page SEO best practices including keyword research, search intent mapping, header structure, internal linking, and meta optimization.

• Familiarity with GEO/AI search optimization is highly desirable.

• Ability to write in various formats: long-form guides, brief blog posts, product descriptions, and landing page copy.

• Comfortable working independently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
