This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Create industry research articles, executive white papers, procurement and due-diligence guides, sector playbooks, and technical deep dives.
• Write bylined articles for both trade and mainstream energy publications in designated spokesperson voices.
• Organize content with a reframe, evidence backbone, third-party authority, company integration, and a category-focused conclusion.
• Source, date, verify, and manage statistics within the evidence library.
• Generate content angles utilizing the idea bank and active content territories.
• Produce company-page content for LinkedIn and other social media platforms.
• Deliver same-week reactions within a 48-hour turnaround time.
• Draft executive content for the chief executive and other spokespersons.
• Tag posts by format and utilize monthly analytics to inform content strategies.
• Provide support to X and the Chinese channel map.
• Combine statistics with charts developed based on the brand grid.
• Adhere to canonical product, safety, and language standards.
• Manage the content calendar and pipeline register.
• Brief and evaluate the content agency.
• Assist with press releases, media materials, briefing notes, event content, and internal communications.
• Report monthly on content performance by format, channel, and audience.
• Four or more years of experience writing published business, technical, or editorial content for a professional audience.
• Portfolio showcasing published content.
• Required experience in the renewables industry.
• Strong preference for candidates with energy storage experience.
• Proven ability in long-form thought leadership.
• Experience in executive ghostwriting, including samples and explanations of voice development.
• Experience with LinkedIn company-page and executive content, including native formats and analytics.
• Production of social media content on at least one channel beyond LinkedIn.
• Native-level proficiency in written English.
• Clear and straightforward writing style.
• Capability to evaluate the defensibility of claims.
• Ability to read analyst reports, standards documents, regulatory filings, and technical datasheets.
• Skill in translating engineering content for CFOs and procurement leads.
• Ability to work with speed and accuracy under a news cycle.
• Self-directed work style.
• Comfort with governed, version-controlled knowledge bases using markdown and plain-text documents.
• Reliability across time zones, with working overlap with Changzhou, China, and the United States West Coast.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
• Preferred: direct experience with long-duration energy storage, grid-scale batteries, grid infrastructure, or data-center power.
• Preferred: experience in journalism or trade-press editing.
• Preferred: familiarity with NFPA 855, UL 9540A, UL 1973, interconnection, and permitting.
• Preferred: literacy in search and generative-engine optimization.
• Preferred: data visualization skills.
• Preferred: experience in agency-side or client-side agency management.
• Preferred: proficiency in Mandarin Chinese.
