This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the creation of public relations and policy materials, such as press releases, op-eds, policy briefs, articles, statements, talking points, blog posts, and executive communications.
• Convert intricate policy, research, and advocacy subjects into clear and engaging narratives for media, providers, policymakers, partners, and the public.
• Act as the primary in-house expert for PR, policy, and various writing tasks.
• Collaborate with marketing, communications, leadership, and program teams to refine messaging and address emerging issues.
• Provide writing assistance for campaigns, website content, newsletters, and other marketing and communication channels.
• Write and enhance media-facing documents, including quotes, rapid-response statements, key messages, and background information.
• Work alongside subject matter experts, executives, and partners to create authoritative content.
• Aid in strategic communications planning and identify opportunities for earned media, policy engagement, and thought leadership.
• Coordinate with external partners and agencies, reviewing outputs to ensure they align with strategy and messaging.
• Track and evaluate the performance of PR and policy content, making adjustments to messaging as necessary.
• Establish and uphold content standards and processes.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as needed or required.
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
• Proven experience in public policy writing.
• Over 5 years of relevant experience in developing and delivering content across diverse platforms and formats.
• Outstanding communication and strategic thinking abilities.
• Skill in simplifying complex concepts into clear and persuasive content.
• Capability to translate data into meaningful insights for content development.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative spirit.
• Proficiency in prioritizing and managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
• Experience within the health care sector.
• Solid understanding of the US policy landscape.
• Preferred: experience or knowledge of the oral health sector.
• Preferred: experience creating content with an industry-leading voice and positioning.
• Master’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
• Willingness to travel as project demands require.
• Ability to use job-related office equipment.
• Capacity to communicate via telephone and collaborate in virtual teams.
