This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Assist in the publishing of digital content and enhance workflows for preparing, reviewing, ingesting, releasing, and maintaining content.
• Prepare, review, publish, update, and manage digital content utilizing a content management system.
• Conduct quality assurance assessments of document, spreadsheet, and presentation templates prior to ingestion.
• Verify metadata, accessibility, formatting, and compliance with publishing standards.
• Support workflows for bulk ingestion in both English and localized versions.
• Facilitate content transitions among content, design, engineering, localization, and vendor teams.
• Maintain publishing trackers, operational documentation, status reports, and audit trails.
• Oversee multiple publishing workstreams while adhering to release requirements and timelines.
• Communicate updates, risks, dependencies, obstacles, and recommendations.
• Identify repetitive, manual, or error-prone tasks for potential automation.
• Convert operational needs into automation specifications and sustainable workflows.
• Develop, test, document, and sustain scripts and lightweight internal tools using Python, PowerShell, APIs, or similar technologies.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools for scripting, troubleshooting, testing, and documentation.
• Integrate scripts into dependable end-to-end workflows, incorporating one-click solutions where feasible.
• Create batch-processing tools, validation workflows, internal utilities, dashboards, and reporting solutions.
• Generate process documentation, user guides, and support materials.
• Embed human review and publishing controls within automated workflows.
• Continuously enhance solutions based on feedback, operational needs, and performance metrics.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, content automation, or a related discipline.
• Two to four years of experience in digital publishing, content operations, production operations, workflow automation, content management, or a related field.
• A minimum of two years of practical experience in building, testing, and maintaining automated solutions using Python, PowerShell, APIs, or comparable technologies.
• At least two years of experience with content management systems, content ingestion, metadata preparation, and structured quality assurance.
• A minimum of two years of substantial experience with document, spreadsheet, and presentation productivity applications.
• Knowledge of the complete content publishing lifecycle, encompassing intake, metadata preparation, quality assurance, localization, ingestion, release, and continuous maintenance.
• Experience in preparing, publishing, updating, and maintaining content through a CMS or publishing platform.
• Proficient in using AI-assisted development tools to create scripts, automate workflows, troubleshoot problems, or develop documentation.
• Strong attention to detail with experience completing structured QA reviews against defined standards or checklists.
• Ability to recognize operational inefficiencies and convert them into clear technical or automation requirements.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities, capable of managing multiple publishing and automation workstreams independently.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Capacity to proactively identify and communicate risks, dependencies, and strategic recommendations.
• Demonstrated employment stability and consistent tenure in previous positions.
• Preferred: Experience with APIs, Git-based development workflows, command-line tools, query languages, spreadsheet automation, or reporting dashboards.
• Preferred: Experience in consolidating multiple scripts into reliable end-to-end tools or one-click workflows.
• Preferred: Experience in developing batch-processing tools, automated validation frameworks, or internal operational utilities.
• Preferred: Familiarity with generative AI, prompt-based workflows, and human-in-the-loop quality processes.
• Preferred: Experience in creating dashboards that measure publishing throughput, quality, turnaround time, automation impact, or operational obstacles.
• Preferred: Experience in producing technical documentation, process guides, and user-support materials for automated tools.
