Content Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• You will transform strong observations and clear directions into high-quality finished work, guided by our senior designer.

• Our output is primarily built from a few robust concepts, expressed in various formats.

• One observation evolves into a poster, carousel, Signal, or essay layout — one idea, multiple representations, never the other way around.

• On a daily basis, this includes creating posters and image posts, carousels, and typeset Signals — the elements that make us distinctive.

• You will design layouts for essays and short films so they resemble a publication rather than a slide deck.

• Produce quick, clean variations of approved concepts for testing and distribution.

• Manage the publishing calendar and schedule across our channels to maintain a steady and consistent rhythm.

• Analyze how pieces perform: identifying what garners saves and shares, which anchors attract viewers, and what quietly underperforms.

• Provide a weekly performance report on a predetermined schedule, covering engagement metrics, saves and shares, follower growth, return visits, and the specific pieces that influenced results.

⛳️ Requirements

• Tangible output. A portfolio of completed work — not presentations about work. You deliver, and you deliver frequently.

• Mastery of the fundamentals. Typography, composition, cropping, and grading held to a cinematic standard, not just a social media template.

• Proficient in AI execution. You adeptly utilize AI to expedite drafting, layout, and variations while maintaining your own judgment over craftsmanship and final quality.

• Restraint. This is crucial. You can create something subtle that still has impact. You understand what should be omitted.

• Sufficient literacy to support the idea. You can lay out a written observation without distorting it and take direction without needing every decision explicitly outlined.

• Ambition and speed. You are eager to produce a significant volume of excellent work and improve rapidly. This role offers real opportunities for growth.
