This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Revise blog articles, feature pages, and various written materials for clarity, readability, and adherence to brand voice, producing near-publication-quality drafts for attorney evaluation.
• Oversee the editorial calendar and content workflow within our project management system, monitoring assignments and ensuring timely production.
• Delegate and define projects for the firm’s content team.
• Manage ongoing marketing content, which includes LinkedIn posts, updates for Google Business Profile, and Mailchimp newsletters.
• Enhance content for search engine optimization and implement the firm’s SEO strategy, including keyword analysis and identifying content gaps.
• Collaborate with the firm’s website team to coordinate publication and site updates.
• Review and guide freelance design projects, such as ebooks, logos, and web assets, while assessing designers for new assignments.
• Monitor marketing performance and provide regular updates on lead generation and related pipeline metrics.
• Discover opportunities to refresh, consolidate, or expand existing content, and propose growth initiatives backed by data.
• Proven experience in managing a content operation or editorial workflow.
• Solid understanding of on-page SEO, with proficiency in a leading SEO platform (like Ahrefs or Semrush) for keyword research and content gap analysis.
• Familiarity with analytics tools, including Google Search Console and Google Analytics, and comfortable taking ownership of recurring performance reporting.
• Capability to art-direct and assess freelance design projects is essential; hands-on design experience (using Canva, Adobe, Figma) is advantageous.
• Knowledge of an email marketing service (such as Mailchimp) and WordPress is required.
• Experience in content creation for professional services audiences (legal, medical, accounting, financial advisory, or consulting) is highly preferred.
• Highly organized, dependable, and able to work independently in a fully remote setting.
