
Consumer Credit Risk Review Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Oversee the creation and implementation of the Continuous Review program for Credit Risk Review within designated Consumer business lines.
• Conduct independent assessments of credit risk management processes, encompassing risk identification/rating, underwriting, originations, and portfolio oversight.
• Analyze credit quality and trends across various portfolios, industry sectors, and/or products.
• Recognize emerging risks and participate in discussions with senior leaders from both first and second lines of business.
• Develop risk-based business plans and address any deviations from the established plans.
• Conduct continuous review activities for assigned portfolios with minimal supervision.
• Lead and engage in horizontal, targeted, and other portfolio evaluations.
• Present findings and review outcomes to senior management and relevant personnel.
• Prepare and distribute quarterly and annual summaries, including comprehensive credit risk assessments.
• Provide insights and guidance to business leaders regarding risk ratings, credit practices, policies, emerging risks, credit quality trends, and business strategies.
• Create concise reports that encapsulate review findings, issues, observations, and recommendations.
• Manage outstanding issues, observations, and recommendations, ensuring appropriate management action plans are obtained.
• Assist in addressing matters that require attention and issues assigned to Credit Risk Review.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews and suggest improvements to processes.
• Share insights and emerging risks with Internal Audit and other risk management functions.
• Participate in due diligence for acquisitions and special projects.
• Support the recruitment of qualified candidates for the Credit Risk Review team.
• Bachelor's degree in a business-related discipline.
• Preferred graduate degree in a relevant field such as Business, Finance, or Economics.
• At least 5–7 years of experience in lending and/or credit-related roles.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, analytical, and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to demonstrate sound judgment while interacting with senior leaders, regulators, external auditors, business personnel, and colleagues.
• Proficient project management and presentation capabilities.
• Capacity to interpret data from various applications and database tools, draw high-level conclusions, and identify necessary actions.
• Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and other applicable PC software.
