Consulting Director, DFIR – LATAM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Lead technical breach response teams in dynamic environments, offering strategic guidance and hands-on support.

• Provide expert consulting on cybersecurity, incident response, and digital forensics to a wide range of clients.

• Collaborate proactively with clients and internal teams to create innovative solutions for intricate security incidents.

• Stay informed and apply up-to-date knowledge of the threat landscape, emerging vulnerabilities, and malware persistence strategies.

• Employ advanced forensic tools and methodologies (e.g., EnCase, FTK, Volatility) for evidence acquisition and analysis across key operating systems.

• Manage client relationships, facilitate technical meetings, and supervise multiple project teams simultaneously to guarantee successful engagement outcomes.

• Spot opportunities to cross-sell or upsell to current clients and assist in generating new business for reactive services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 12 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 8 years of experience, or a PhD with 5 years of experience in a related discipline.

• At least 10 years of practical consulting experience in digital forensics and incident response (DFIR).

• Proficiency in English and Spanish; knowledge of Portuguese is an advantage.

• Proven track record of leading technical breach response teams in high-stress, fast-paced settings.

• Expert understanding of forensic processes and protocols, including chain of custody and memory/disk acquisition methods.

• Demonstrated expertise with industry-standard forensic tools such as EnCase, FTK, SleuthKit, or Volatility.

• Strong operational knowledge of one or more major operating systems (Microsoft Windows, Linux, or Mac).
