Consultant, Software Engineering – Go, React Native, AWS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and maintain contemporary applications that encompass backend services, mobile applications, and cloud infrastructure.

• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and business stakeholders.

• Engage in technical discovery, architecture discussions, and solution design processes.

• Create scalable APIs and backend services, including integrations with third-party systems.

• Design and manage PostgreSQL schemas, focusing on query optimization and migrations.

• Produce clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.

• Participate in code reviews and adhere to engineering best practices.

• Identify and address technical risks and challenges.

• Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.

• Commit to continuous learning and contribute to the growth of the engineering team.

• Work across diverse client engagements, industries, technologies, and teams.

• Deliver impactful software solutions tailored for clients.

• Within the first year, produce high-quality software, foster relationships with clients and teammates, showcase technical ownership, contribute to engineering excellence, and enhance technical and consulting capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of professional software engineering experience.

• Experience with Go (Golang) and/or React Native in production settings, particularly in building and deploying mobile applications, is highly preferred.

• Strong knowledge of AWS services, including Lambda, ECS, RDS, S3, and IAM.

• Proficient in PostgreSQL, covering schema design, query optimization, and migrations.

• Practical experience with TypeScript in production environments.

• Familiarity with secure API design, OAuth2, JWT, and best practices in data protection.

• Solid understanding of object-oriented and/or systems-level programming principles and software design patterns.

• Experience with AI-driven code reviews and debugging.

• Knowledge of AI-assisted software design and implementation.

• Familiar with agentic development workflows, including parallel coding, autonomous task execution, and orchestration.

• Skills in prompt engineering for software development and system generation.

• Utilize AI for generating documentation, architectural artifacts, and delivery assets.

• Create systems that ensure human accountability for quality and decision-making.

• Rapid prototyping capabilities with structured production hardening.

• Familiar with Git and collaborative development workflows.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

• Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

• Capacity to work effectively in a remote, distributed environment.

• Must reside in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

• This is a full-time employee position, not a contractor role.

• Preferred qualifications include experience with RESTful APIs and microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, Python, JavaScript, React, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, observability/monitoring, consulting or agency experience, mentoring, WCAG, regulated environments, AI-enabled applications, machine learning integrations, LLMs, RAG architectures, and contributions to open-source or technical publications.
