Consultant Psychiatrist – CYP Service – Self-Employed Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Conduct specialized psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, treatments, and management for children and adolescents experiencing mental health issues.

• Evaluate and treat ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) based on expertise.

• Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

• Implement evidence-based interventions and support strategies for patients.

• Operate independently within multidisciplinary clinical services.

• Ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care.

• Contribute to the enhanced Children and Young People service through Right to Choose.

• Engage in a digital-first, remote clinical service model.

⛳️ Requirements

• Medical degree accompanied by a postgraduate qualification (MRCPsych or equivalent).

• Full GMC registration with an active licence to practice.

• Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry or Paediatrics.

• At least two years of post-CCT experience in CAMHS and/or community neurodevelopmental pathways.

• Extensive clinical experience in Child and Young Person (CYP) mental health services.

• Proven ability to work independently within multidisciplinary clinical settings.

• Strong grasp of clinical governance frameworks and regulatory standards in mental health services.

• High-level clinical judgment and decision-making skills for complex CYP cases.

• Comprehensive knowledge of evidence-based assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for CYP mental health conditions, including ADHD and ASD.

• Capacity to adapt to digital-first and remote service delivery models.

• Proficient communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and service users.

• Ability to efficiently manage competing priorities.
