This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as a reliable subject matter expert on federal and state healthcare policy matters that impact pharmaceutical manufacturers, biotechnology firms, health plans, providers, and other healthcare participants.
• Track and evaluate legislative, regulatory, and market changes, converting policy shifts into significant business implications and strategic guidance for clients.
• Cultivate knowledge across essential policy areas such as Medicare Part B and Part D, the Medicare Drug Price Negotiation Program under the Inflation Reduction Act, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and the 340B Drug Pricing Program.
• Define intricate client challenges, consolidate various information sources, and formulate practical, evidence-based strategic recommendations.
• Utilize qualitative and quantitative analyses to produce actionable insights that align with client business and/or policy goals.
• Anticipate client requirements and proactively pinpoint areas where Avalere can provide support.
• Oversee daily client relationships across multiple projects, acting as a trusted advisor and primary contact for designated workstreams and/or accounts.
• Present complex analyses and recommendations confidently to client groups, including senior executives.
• Foster enduring client relationships by delivering outstanding service, managing expectations, and recognizing opportunities for engagement expansion.
• Manage project workstreams or teams to effectively deliver high-quality work products on schedule and within budget while juggling competing priorities across various projects.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and collaborate efficiently with subject matter experts throughout Avalere Health.
• Review and mentor Associates and other project team members, providing initial guidance on project tasks and feedback on draft materials, while integrating SME and project leads’ input into final deliverables.
• Convert intricate policy analyses, research findings, and data into engaging, client-ready materials and executive-level presentations.
• Ensure that recommendations are backed by solid evidence and articulated through clear, concise, and persuasive narratives.
• Simplify complex and multifaceted topics into clear and relevant points that can be communicated to clients both verbally and in writing.
• Mentor, coach, and provide continuous feedback to Associates and junior team members.
• Review deliverables to guarantee analytical rigor and high-quality outputs for clients.
• Promote a collaborative, inclusive team atmosphere and contribute to the ongoing development of the Policy practice.
• Implement data-driven strategies and technology-enhanced methods of working, including responsible AI usage and advanced analytical tools, to boost client outcomes and team productivity.
• Discover innovative methods, products, or analytical strategies that improve project delivery and client impact.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Health Policy, Public Policy, Law, Public Health, Health Economics, Healthcare Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Over 4 years of pertinent experience in healthcare consulting, pharmaceutical or biotechnology companies, health plans, advocacy organizations, government entities, think tanks, or similar institutions.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the U.S. healthcare policy landscape and its commercial ramifications, especially concerning Medicare Part B and Part D, Medicare Drug Price Negotiation under the Inflation Reduction Act, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and the 340B Drug Pricing Program.
• Proven ability to translate complex policy analysis, research findings, and data into actionable business recommendations.
• Experience in managing multiple concurrent projects, including budgets, timelines, scope, and client expectations.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the capacity to clearly communicate complex concepts to both technical and executive audiences.
• Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving skills, with the ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight.
