Consultant, HR System Optimization – HRSS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Act as an advisor and intermediary for executing strategies, operations, projects, programs, and service delivery results.

• Strategize, implement, coordinate, and assess programs and strategic initiatives.

• Offer consultative assistance to leadership in Trinity Health's functional areas.

• Lead, manage, and supervise various workstreams.

• Create, execute, and oversee processes, policies, and procedures.

• Offer technical support for business operations, resolve issues, and propose actions.

• Provide advanced support, guidance, and training regarding both new and existing technologies and applications.

• Recognize organizational enhancements and devise systems and training to facilitate changes.

• Oversee and execute small to medium-sized projects, programs, and initiatives.

• Develop production, communication, service delivery plans, and workflows.

• Conduct training sessions to disseminate information.

• Research, compile, synthesize, and analyze data; prepare summaries, visual representations, trends, ROI, and recommendations.

• Create and supervise data analysis, reporting, and communication systems.

• Configure, manage, and support Workday Help and Workday Journeys.

• Design and refine workflows, manage content, and customize user experiences.

• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve access and technical issues with TIS, Workday support teams, and vendors.

• Create and implement testing scenarios, scripts, UAT coordination, defect tracking, and release validation.

• Develop visualizations and demonstrations while supporting change management activities.

• Represent or support HR Shared Services on technology projects as a subject matter expert.

• Maintain centralized logs of technical issues and coordinate their resolution.

• Assist in project planning, status tracking, and follow-up activities.

• Contribute to the HR Shared Services technology roadmap, recommending enhancements and investments.

• Collaborate with HR leadership, process owners, TIS, implementation partners, and vendors.

• Engage in design discussions, planning sessions, and testing cycles.

• Serve as a communication link among stakeholders.

• Participate in privilege access approval and monitoring.

• Research best practices and identify opportunities for operational improvements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, HRIS Systems, Human Resources, Project Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• 5–7 years of experience supporting HR systems or enterprise technology in shared services or complex organizational settings.

• Proven experience in managing end-to-end design processes, anticipating interdependencies, coordinating deliverables, and adhering to timelines.

• Capacity to consult and collaborate with various organizational levels to devise solutions.

• Familiarity with system configuration, testing, and troubleshooting, preferably within Workday Help, Workday Journeys, or similar systems.

• Experience in participating in or supporting technology projects, including tracking issues and coordinating stakeholders.

• Workday certification is a desirable qualification.

• Working knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as well as Trinity Health compliance programs, codes of conduct, policies, procedures, and guidelines.

• Ability to complete complex tasks and manage multiple concurrent tasks/projects.

• Proficient in using computers and other technologies.

• Capability to maintain a safe working environment and utilize PPE.

• Ability to provide emergency assistance when necessary.

• Capacity to lift up to 30 pounds unassisted on occasion.
