This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as Wellvana's Epic subject matter expert for partner organizations.
• Provide guidance to partner clinical, operational, and IT leaders on Epic configuration tailored for value-based care.
• Perform structured evaluations of partner Epic environments and create findings along with phased optimization roadmaps.
• Design, construct, test, and validate EHR workflows, including Express Lanes, SmartSets, SmartPhrases, SmartLinks, flowsheets, questionnaires, and navigator sections.
• Enhance scheduling for Annual Wellness Visits, outreach, pre-visit workflows, documentation, charge capture, and diagnosis capture.
• Set up Healthy Planet registries, health maintenance topics, care gaps, patient lists, BPAs, Reporting Workbench content, and dashboards.
• Convert HCC and clinical documentation requirements into EHR tools.
• Develop reusable build guides, configuration specifications, workflow documentation, training materials, and Epic turbocharger-style packages.
• Educate and empower partner providers, care teams, analysts, and super-users.
• Collaborate with interoperability, population health, quality, coding, and clinical teams.
• Articulate technical recommendations and their business implications to clinical, technical, and executive stakeholders.
• Create standards for intake, prioritization, delivery, change control, service tiers, and measurement for the new function.
• Monitor pre- and post-engagement performance and report on service impact.
• Maintain Epic certifications and stay informed on the Epic roadmap, Foundation System, and CMS program updates.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience is required.
• Active Epic Healthy Planet certification is mandatory.
• Active EpicCare Ambulatory certification is mandatory.
• Active Epic ClinDoc certification is mandatory.
• Accreditation in Epic Compass Rose, Cheers, Cogito/Reporting Workbench, or Population Health is preferred.
• 3–6 years of practical Epic build and configuration experience in an ambulatory or population health environment.
• Over 2 years of experience supporting value-based care, ACO, or population health initiatives.
• Previous experience in consulting, professional services, or multi-organization implementations is highly preferred.
• Hands-on experience in design, build, and testing across Healthy Planet, EpicCare Ambulatory, and ClinDoc.
• Familiarity with Express Lanes, SmartTools, flowsheets, questionnaires, and navigator configuration.
• Knowledge of registries, health maintenance topics, care gaps, patient lists, BPAs, and Reporting Workbench.
• Ability to navigate partner change control, testing, and release processes.
• Working understanding of MSSP, ACO REACH, Medicare Advantage, and commercial value-based care models.
• Knowledge of MIPS/eCQM measures, HEDIS, Stars, HCC risk adjustment, and clinical documentation standards.
• Insight into front-office, clinical support, and provider workflows within independent and small-group primary care settings.
• Skills in consultative advisory, solution packaging, training, technical documentation, project coordination, and executive presentations.
• Familiarity with HL7v2, C-CDA, FHIR, and ADT/lab feeds.
• Comfort with interpreting performance data and utilizing SQL or similar query tools.
• Understanding of HIPAA compliance and secure management of partner and patient information.
• Willingness to travel to partner locations as required, estimated at up to 25%.
