Construction Superintendent

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Oversee and direct all on-site construction operations in accordance with project plans and specifications.

• Propel significant and final project completion while generating punch lists.

• Manage equipment rentals at the site and track monthly costs.

• Implement jobsite mobilization and demobilization processes.

• Ensure the construction site remains clean and organized.

• Monitor the delivery of major equipment, valves, and parts.

• Schedule crane services for the offloading of major equipment.

• Assess weather impacts on craft operations.

• Engage in constructability reviews alongside engineering teams.

• Collaborate with process, electrical, controls, SCADA, project management, and external engineering teams.

• Create and uphold construction schedules, ensuring milestones are achieved.

• Distribute labor, materials, and equipment resources as needed.

• Enforce safety standards and building codes.

• Conduct site inspections and ensure daily Job Safety Analyses are completed.

• Facilitate effective communication between subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.

• Maintain daily logs, progress reports, and financial records.

• Assist with commissioning and project start-up activities.

• Share insights from lessons learned and encourage open discussions regarding errors and near-misses.

• Collaborate with Operations, Business Development, Project Management, HR, and IT departments.

• Implement RACI principles for special projects.

• Identify areas for enhancing quality and work accuracy.

• Address urgent matters outside of regular business hours.

• Execute other assigned duties as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of construction project experience, including at least 2 years in on-site construction management.

• Possession of a valid driver’s license for the state of residence.

• Familiarity with construction site hazard assessments.

• Knowledge of OSHA Part 1926 – Safety and Health Regulations for Construction.

• Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Willingness and capability to address urgent issues outside standard business hours.

• Ability to travel 100% of the time each month.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experience (preferred).

• Experience with MS Project, Procore, or other project management/scheduling software (preferred).
