Construction Superintendent

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Oversee and direct all on-site construction activities to ensure alignment with project plans and specifications

• Achieve substantial/final project completion and develop punch lists

• Manage equipment rentals and monitor monthly costs

• Implement jobsite mobilization and demobilization processes

• Ensure construction sites are maintained in a clean condition

• Track deliveries of major equipment, valves, and parts

• Schedule cranes for the offloading of significant equipment

• Monitor weather effects on craft operations

• Engage in constructability reviews alongside engineering teams

• Coordinate with process, electrical, controls, SCADA, project management, and external engineering teams

• Develop and sustain construction schedules while ensuring milestones are achieved

• Efficiently allocate labor, materials, and equipment

• Uphold safety regulations and building codes

• Conduct site inspections and ensure the completion of daily Job Safety Analyses (JSAs)

• Facilitate communication among subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders

• Maintain daily logs, progress reports, and cost records

• Assist in commissioning and start-up processes

• Share insights from lessons learned and promote open discussions regarding mistakes and near-misses

• Collaborate with Operations, Business Development, Project Management, HR, and IT departments

• Apply RACI principles to special projects

• Identify opportunities for enhancing quality and work accuracy

• Address urgent issues outside of regular business hours as needed

• Travel 100% monthly to active construction sites

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned

⛳️ Requirements

• 8 years of experience in construction projects, with at least 2 years in onsite construction management

• Valid driver's license for the state of residence

• Solid understanding of construction site hazard assessments

• Familiarity with OSHA Part 1926 – Safety and Health Regulations for Construction

• Skilled in using Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

• Willingness and capability to respond to urgent issues outside of normal business hours

• Proficiency in MS Project, Procore, or other project management/scheduling software (preferred)

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred)
