Construction Superintendent

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee all onsite field operations for industrial refrigeration construction projects.

• Ensure that team members adhere to CIMCO's safety and quality protocols.

• Collaborate with the Sr./General Superintendent and Project Manager to coordinate staffing.

• Facilitate daily communication and activities with customers, management, and subcontractors on site.

• Plan and organize the delivery of site materials and consumables.

• Receive, inventory, and document equipment and material deliveries; report any discrepancies.

• Create detailed weld maps for installed piping systems.

• Submit precise weekly timesheets for field personnel and rig welders.

• Conduct daily coordination meetings and provide technical guidance along with problem-solving assistance.

• Maintain field documentation, CIMCO vehicles, and tool trailers.

• Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, RFIs, change orders, and submittals.

• Provide red-lined as-built drawings upon project completion.

• Assist in material takeoffs and identify rental equipment requirements.

• Support 3-week look-ahead schedules and crane pick plans while adhering to safety requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7–10 years of experience in industrial refrigeration construction, including ammonia systems.

• 3+ years in a supervisory or superintendent capacity.

• Willingness to travel for up to 6 weeks at a time.

• Strong understanding of piping systems, welding techniques, reciprocating and screw compressors, and cold storage construction standards.

• Capability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.

• Familiarity with IIAR standards and pressure testing methodologies.

• RETA 1 & 2 certification is preferred; must be willing to acquire.

• Universal EPA certification is preferred; must be willing to obtain.

• OSHA 30 certification or readiness to obtain.

• Excellent communication skills and confidence in working directly with clients and teams.

• Proficiency in basic computer tools for documentation and scheduling purposes.

• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in elevated or confined spaces.

• Willingness to work extended shifts in varying weather conditions.
