
Construction Project Manager, High-End Residential

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Supervise residential construction projects throughout California from the initial planning phase to final closeout.
• Develop and uphold project schedules, budgets, scopes, subcontractor timelines, and milestone tracking for ongoing residential projects.
• Coordinate activities among subcontractors, field teams, vendors, inspectors, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects remain on schedule and within defined scope.
• Evaluate drawings, specifications, proposals, change orders, selections, and project documentation for accuracy and readiness for execution.
• Monitor project costs, authorize invoices, manage change orders, and proactively identify budget risks before they affect profitability.
• Conduct regular project updates with field teams, subcontractors, clients, and leadership to address issues and uphold accountability.
• Oversee quality, safety, schedule adherence, permitting, and inspection requirements at assigned residential job sites.
• Assist in procurement, material coordination, and vendor communication to avoid delays and keep projects on track.
• Maintain comprehensive project records, status updates, punch lists, and closeout documentation for each assigned project.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in residential construction project management with direct responsibility for projects.
• Proven experience managing residential construction projects in California or other similarly regulated construction markets.
• Strong knowledge of residential construction schedules, budgets, subcontractor scopes, drawings, specifications, permitting, inspections, and closeout processes.
• Demonstrated experience collaborating with subcontractors, field supervisors, vendors, inspectors, homeowners, and client-facing project stakeholders.
• Proficient in using construction project management tools, scheduling software, spreadsheets, and digital documentation platforms.
• Capable of managing projects remotely while ensuring effective communication, accountability, and visibility in the field.
• Must possess direct project ownership experience, rather than solely having assistant project management or project coordination experience.
• Residential construction experience is essential; candidates with experience limited to commercial, civil, or industrial construction will not be a suitable fit.
