This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Oversee commercial electrical construction projects from the preconstruction phase and project handover until completion and closeout.
• Create and manage project schedules, workforce plans, procurement timelines, and execution strategies.
• Coordinate with electricians, foremen, subcontractors, vendors, general contractors, and internal project teams.
• Act as the primary liaison for clients, inspectors, general contractors, and other stakeholders involved in the project.
• Examine electrical drawings, specifications, contracts, schedules, RFIs, submittals, and scope requirements.
• Manage project budgets, cost projections, labor efficiency, billing, and overall financial outcomes.
• Prepare, price, negotiate, and monitor change orders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with BIM/VDC and prefabrication teams to address conflicts and facilitate effective field installation.
• Work alongside estimating and preconstruction teams to ensure precise scope turnover and project planning.
• Identify risks related to labor, materials, scheduling, and coordination before they impact project delivery.
• Lead project meetings and provide transparent updates on progress, staffing, costs, and operational challenges.
• Supervise procurement, material deliveries, subcontractor performance, and project documentation.
• Maintain responsibility for safety, quality, schedule adherence, profitability, and client satisfaction.
• Manage multiple ongoing commercial electrical projects across Michigan.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial electrical construction project management.
• Direct experience working with an electrical contractor or within a self-performing electrical construction firm.
• Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems, field operations, sequencing, and installation standards.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage projects from the preconstruction phase to final closeout.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical drawings, specifications, schedules, contracts, and construction documents.
• Experience in managing project budgets, labor productivity, forecasting, billing, and change orders.
• Capable of coordinating field teams, general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and internal departments.
• Proven track record of managing multiple active projects while meeting schedule, budget, and quality standards.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Commercial electrical experience is essential; candidates with residential-only backgrounds will not be considered.
• Base salary ranging from $125,000 to $140,000.
