This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Plan, oversee, and implement construction projects from the award of the General Contractor bid to the grand opening.
• Act as the main liaison for contractors, architects, engineers, landlords, and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure that projects are completed safely, thoroughly, on time, within budget, and in alignment with company standards.
• Manage project timelines, finances, administration, quality control, vendors, and stakeholder involvement.
• Supervise the transition process from construction completion to training and opening.
• Collaborate and coordinate with departments such as Real Estate, Development, Design, Permitting, Facilities, IT, Operations, Training, and Marketing, as well as landlord representatives and authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs).
• Partner with the Construction Coordinator for project initiation and closure.
• Oversee various restaurant construction projects from the bid award phase to the opening.
• Review, manage, and authorize changes and invoices from General Contractors and vendors; monitor against the project budget.
• Anticipate project expenditures.
• Manage the construction timeline and identify potential opportunities, risks, delays, and cost implications; create strategies for exploitation and mitigation.
• Facilitate the transition from construction completion to Operations through training and opening.
• Create project reports, schedules, and forecasts.
• Provide emergency warranty support during off-hours when necessary.
• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 2–4 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in Construction Project Management within a restaurant concept, as a developer, or with a General Contractor.
• Preferred: 4–6 years of professional experience.
• Preferred: 1–3 years of supervisory experience.
• PMP certification is preferred.
• Willingness to travel frequently.
