Construction Manager – Central Region

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Accountable for the planning, coordination, and execution of new store construction, renovations, relocations, and capital improvement initiatives throughout the Central Region.

• Collaborates closely with Real Estate, Design, Facilities, Operations, Finance, landlords, consultants, contractors, and vendors to guarantee that projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with company standards.

• Oversees multiple construction projects concurrently, ensuring compliance with the approved scope, budget, schedule, quality standards, and company expectations.

• Reviews lease agreements, landlord work stipulations, and project-specific development commitments.

• Conducts regular site inspections to assess progress, confirm schedules, ensure quality execution, and address project risks.

• Prepares weekly status updates, forecasts, and budget reports for leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field; equivalent experience may be accepted.

• A minimum of three to five years of experience in construction management, specifically in leading commercial, retail, restaurant, or multi-unit development projects.

• Proven experience managing multiple construction projects throughout all phases of the construction process.

• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, permitting, entitlements, project scheduling, budgeting, and cost management.

• Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing plans and specifications.

• Experience in managing contractors, consultants, landlords, vendors, and cross-functional project teams.

• Excellent project management, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making abilities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction management software platforms.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% as business needs dictate.
