Construction Business Applications Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with clients to enhance business processes, reporting, workflows, and technology integration.

• Develop Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions.

• Create workflow automations utilizing Microsoft Power Platform tools.

• Discover practical opportunities to leverage AI-enabled tools and automation to enhance client operations.

• Implement reports and business solutions within Sage 100 Contractor and Acumatica.

• Provide support for Syscon’s custom-developed business applications.

• Train and assist end users throughout the implementation and ongoing consulting processes.

• Work alongside developers and consultants to deliver effective business solutions.

• Document client requirements, workflows, and recommendations.

• Continuously investigate new technologies and share insights that add value for clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in supporting business applications, ERP systems, reporting, business intelligence, or technology consulting.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI and Power Automate.

• Familiarity with SQL and SQL Server.

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel.

• Experience in supporting business applications, reporting platforms, Microsoft business technologies, automation tools, or AI-enabled tools.

• An innate curiosity and a commitment to keeping up with emerging technologies.

• Ability to independently research, test, and implement new tools.

• Comfort in navigating ambiguity without needing every step clearly defined.

• Skill in translating technology into tangible business value for clients.

• Excellent communication, organization, follow-through, and client-facing consulting abilities.

• Ownership mindset with exceptional prioritization and accountability.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Accounting, MIS, or a related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• A significant plus: experience in the construction industry, MSP or technology consulting experience, familiarity with Microsoft Power Apps, SharePoint, Microsoft Copilot or similar AI platforms, knowledge of Sage 100 Contractor and/or Acumatica, and experience supporting ERP reporting and workflow solutions.
