This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as a growing disciple of Jesus Christ: enhancing love for God, His Word, His people across all ethnicities and cultures, and His purposes throughout the world.
• Carry out systematic identification and examination of duplicate constituent records in Salesforce utilizing deduplication tools and manual audits.
• Perform record merge operations with accuracy, ensuring the preservation of all pertinent giving history, relationships, and engagement data.
• Create and uphold a deduplication schedule and log while tracking volume and trends over time.
• Develop and document rules and criteria for merging to standardize the deduplication process across various record types (individuals, organizations, households).
• Coordinate and implement data append projects with third-party vendors, including NCOA (address updates), email append, phone append, and wealth screening services.
• Assess vendor data quality and manage relationships with vendors in collaboration with leadership.
• Maintain a data enrichment calendar that aligns with annual fundraising campaigns and appeals.
• Conduct routine maintenance on constituent records, including address verification, deceased/inactive flagging, donor preferences, organizational affiliations, and relationship updates.
• Regularly monitor and resolve data quality flags, system alerts, and exception reports.
• Collaborate with development and program staff to address data discrepancies identified through constituent interactions or returned mail.
• Manage mass data imports and exports with accuracy, utilizing Data Loader or similar tools.
• Develop, document, and enforce standards for data entry and naming conventions throughout the CRM.
• Conduct regular audits of data quality and generate health metrics reports for leadership.
• Train and support staff on best practices for data entry to minimize data degradation at the source.
• Maintain a comprehensive data governance log and documentation library for all hygiene processes and decisions.
• Annually affirm InterVarsity’s Statement of Faith.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in CRM data management, database administration, or a closely related field.
• Practical experience working within Salesforce, preferably Salesforce NPSP or Nonprofit Cloud.
• Proficiency in current Microsoft Software applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) and Google Sheets is preferred.
• Leadership experience is essential.
• Familiarity with data append vendors and NCOA processing.
• Exceptional attention to detail with the capability to manage large volumes of records without compromising accuracy.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize competing tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
