Configuration Lead Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Oversee MAWM configuration workstreams throughout comprehensive implementation projects.

• Take ownership of configuration design for workflows related to receiving, putaway, replenishment, inventory control, picking, packing, shipping, cross-dock, and labor management.

• Convert business requirements into scalable Manhattan Active WMS configuration solutions.

• Facilitate client workshops and design sessions to collect requirements, confirm process flows, and outline future-state workflows.

• Configure Manhattan Active WMS utilizing Configuration Director and associated MAWM tools.

• Manage and oversee multi-configuration environments across various project phases.

• Collaborate effectively with functional consultants, technical teams, integration teams, QA teams, and client stakeholders.

• Review and validate configuration alterations for quality, consistency, and compliance with project standards.

• Assist in integration discussions involving APIs, JSON payloads, Postman testing, ERP integrations, and external systems.

• Work alongside technical teams on Manhattan ProActive Extension requirements, validation, and solution design.

• Develop and maintain configuration specifications, business rules, process flows, test scenarios, and design artifacts.

• Facilitate SIT, UAT, regression testing, defect triage, and preparations for go-live.

• Identify risks, configuration gaps, process inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior consultants and members of the configuration team.

• Assist in deployment, hypercare, stabilization, and post-go-live improvement initiatives.

• Serve as a key point of contact for decisions related to configuration, risks, escalations, and solution recommendations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline; or equivalent professional experience.

• 5-8 years of experience in WMS consulting, supply chain systems implementation, or warehouse technology transformation.

• Strong practical experience with Manhattan Active Warehouse Management configuration.

• At least 2 full-cycle implementations of Manhattan Active WMS.

• Demonstrated experience leading MAWM configuration workstreams or solution design activities.

• In-depth understanding of warehouse operations, encompassing receiving, putaway, replenishment, cycle counting, inventory control, picking, packing, shipping, and cross-docking.

• Experience utilizing Configuration Director and managing multi-configuration environments.

• Familiarity with Manhattan ProActive Extension development concepts and related solution validation.

• Proficient knowledge of APIs, JSON, Postman, and integration testing.

• Experience supporting system integrations across WMS, ERP, TMS, automation, parcel, labor, and other supply chain systems.

• Strong background in SIT, UAT, defect resolution, go-live readiness, and post-go-live support.

• Capability to lead requirements workshops, design conversations, and stakeholder alignment sessions.

• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and problem-solving abilities.

• Outstanding communication skills with business users, technical teams, project leaders, and executive stakeholders.

• Experience working within Agile or hybrid project delivery environments.
