This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Evaluate extensive genetic, genomic, and clinical datasets derived from internal research, clinical trials, high-throughput screening, academic collaborations, industry partnerships, and publicly available datasets.

• Create computational and statistical methodologies to integrate and analyze intricate biological datasets.

• Examine whole genome sequencing, RNA-Seq, scRNA-Seq, scATAC-Seq, along with other molecular assay data.

• Design and implement multimodal data integration techniques to link genetic, molecular, clinical, and imaging information.

• Utilize machine learning algorithms to uncover relationships between imaging data and omics datasets.

• Manage the acquisition, preparation, quality assurance, and organization of new datasets.

• Record analytical workflows, coding practices, methodologies, findings, and outcomes.

• Share scientific results with Human Genetics teams and interdisciplinary collaborators.

• Contribute to scientific publications and initiatives in translational research.

⛳️ Requirements

• PhD or a Master's degree with substantial relevant experience in Statistical Genetics, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Genetic Epidemiology, or a similar discipline.

• In-depth experience in analyzing large-scale genetic and genomic datasets.

• Proficiency in genetic epidemiology and statistical genetics.

• Background in GWAS and association analysis utilizing array- or sequence-based human genetic data.

• Experience in analyzing RNA-Seq, single-cell sequencing, and/or proteomic data.

• Familiarity with the integration of genetic and molecular datasets for multimodal analysis.

• Strong programming capabilities in R, Python, and shell scripting.

• Experience with Git and high-performance computing environments such as SLURM.

• Ability to work autonomously, make informed analytical choices, adhere to deadlines, and deliver high-quality results with minimal supervision.

• Experience with C++ is advantageous.
