This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.
• Deliver synchronous online courses through Microsoft Teams every Monday and Tuesday.
• Design and structure instructional content to enhance student learning and engagement.
• Adapt teaching methods and strategies to cater to the diverse needs of students.
• Utilize effective teaching and learning techniques to convey subject matter to students.
• Exhibit a comprehensive and precise understanding of their area of expertise.
• Relate subject matter to associated fields.
• Stay updated in their field through professional development and active participation in professional organizations.
• Ensure that the Student Database is consistently updated and accurate regarding attendance and grade records.
• Maintain compliance with accreditation standards related to instructional quality and education.
• Submit all necessary documentation for classes.
• Encourage collaboration with colleagues and engage in the execution of new projects.
• Follow CIAT's business casual dress code in accordance with policy.
• Information Technology Instructors must present official transcripts of a bachelor's degree or higher (from an accredited institution) along with relevant certification for the subject taught.
• We seek an instructor with the following certification: CompTIA Linux+.
• A minimum of three years of experience in the relevant field OR two years of teaching experience is required.
• Preference will be given to candidates with synchronous online teaching experience.
• Advanced subject matter expertise is preferred, along with a dedication to continuous professional development and awareness of current trends in the field.
• Strong presentation, communication, and technology skills are essential.
• Proficient knowledge of MS Office applications, including Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as learning technologies such as Canvas.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating a high level of reliability.
• Capability to multitask effectively.
• Quick and effective problem-solving skills, with timely responses.
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues, academic departments, and administration to foster student success, achieve institutional objectives, and contribute to a positive and inclusive culture.
• Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment that honors the diversity of students' backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.
• Knowledge of contemporary trends, best practices, and instructional methods in higher education.
• Proven ability to deliver engaging and effective lesson plans that accommodate the varied needs of students.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively conveying information and interacting with students, colleagues, and others.
• Uphold high ethical standards and serve as a model of professionalism to peers.
• Adhere to all college policies, procedures, and regulations, including those related to academic integrity, student conduct, and instructional delivery.
