Comprehensive Disaster Recovery Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver essential advisory and strategic planning services to recovery clients while leading a substantial team.

• Act as a proficient disaster recovery specialist, showcasing a proven track record of aiding local governments in their long-term recovery efforts following natural disasters.

• Function as an active project manager, overseeing intricate disaster recovery initiatives.

• Utilize knowledge of the FEMA Public Assistance (PA) Program - Permanent Work (Categories C-G).

• Serve as a subject matter expert on the FEMA PA Program, promptly addressing policy-related inquiries.

• Supervise a diverse team involved in all facets of recovery, assigning tasks, evaluating staffing requirements, and formulating methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Previous support for local governments affected by natural disasters through various federal disaster grant programs from the onset of a disaster through grant obligation and closure.

• A minimum of four years (4) of experience within the FEMA PA Program, including Permanent Work (Categories C-G).

• Proven experience in managing complex and dynamic projects.

• High proficiency in written communication, with the ability to craft nuanced and policy-complex recommendation documents.

• Excellent verbal communication skills, including the capability to present effectively to high-level stakeholders.

• Prior experience in managing workloads for large multi-disciplinary teams with varying levels of expertise (e.g., junior associates to senior subject matter experts).

• Strong expertise in MS Office products, databases, and other software/technology platforms.

• A bachelor’s degree is required.
