This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.
• Assist in the creation of detailed billing and coding audit strategies.
• Generate reports and analyze information from various databases and software systems within ARH.
• Conduct audits and requested inquiries independently.
• Execute and document follow-up activities on audits to ensure continuous monitoring and the implementation of corrective action plans.
• Prepare detailed written audit reports that encompass the audit process and methodology, findings, root cause analysis, and suggestions.
• Discuss audit findings with management at all levels and provide education as necessary.
• Stay updated on changes in statutes, regulations, compliance standards, and practices.
• Evaluate programs and activities impacted by industry regulations and propose modifications to non-compliant procedures and practices.
• Engage in annual risk assessments and suggest process or policy enhancements.
• Maintain coding certification.
• Provide training on coding and reimbursement updates.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Three years of experience in healthcare, with preferred expertise in coding, reimbursement, risk, or regulatory compliance.
• Strong grasp of coding, internal auditing, or reimbursement laws.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proven leadership skills.
• Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools.
• Ability to uphold confidentiality and manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
• Capability to handle multiple deadlines and projects concurrently.
• Health care compliance certification preferred.
• Maintains coding certification.
