This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +1 more state.
• Oversee intricate, time-sensitive compliance workflows (such as tracking regulatory deliverables, governing policy and documentation, facilitating audit/exam readiness, managing issue intake, and coordinating committee operations) to ensure tasks are completed accurately, consistently, and in accordance with internal controls and healthcare regulations.
• Act as a reliable partner to Compliance leaders and cross-functional stakeholders, consolidating information for informed decision-making, highlighting risks and obstacles, and promoting process enhancements that bolster regulatory audit preparedness.
• Direct the Compliance intake and workflow management (including presentations, requests, attestations, disclosures, incidents, and general inquiries), focusing on triage, prioritization, assignment, and follow-through; identify trends and propose upstream solutions.
• Manage compliance documentation practices, ensuring record accuracy, version control, standardized templates, and traceability of evidence in accordance with retention and internal control standards.
• Take the lead in coordinating audit, monitoring, and regulatory readiness activities by managing evidence request workflows, maintaining evidence libraries, organizing stakeholder responses, and raising concerns regarding timelines, completeness, or quality.
• Oversee the tracking of regulatory obligations by maintaining calendars, trackers, and dashboards; conduct quality checks on inputs, reconcile status with responsible parties, and deliver succinct leadership-ready reports.
• Coordinate comprehensive governance logistics for compliance committees and working groups: create agendas with leaders, compile and verify materials, document decisions and action items, and ensure closure through proactive follow-up and escalation.
• Facilitate policy and procedure governance by organizing drafting and review cycles, managing approvals, overseeing publication and distribution, and keeping an audit-ready history of versions and approvals.
• Generate and present routine and ad hoc compliance reports; analyze underlying factors, identify risks, and recommend corrective measures or process enhancements.
• Manage compliance communications and training logistics (including scheduling, rosters, follow-up on completions, and distribution of approved materials); track completion rates, identify gaps, and escalate instances of non-compliance.
• Exercise sound judgment in managing sensitive information; collaborate with Compliance, Privacy, and Security to uphold appropriate access controls, ensure least-privilege sharing, and secure transmission and storage of data and evidence.
• Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), job aids, checklists, and templates for compliance operations; spearhead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cycle times, enhance quality, and strengthen control effectiveness.
• Function as the primary point of contact for compliance operations processes; provide guidance to stakeholders on requirements and timelines, resolve issues independently when feasible, and escalate complex risks or decisions to leadership.
• Travel as necessary to attend and engage in onsite meetings.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Adhere to all policies and standards.
• Associate's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Compliance, or a related field; or equivalent experience required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 2+ years of progressive experience in project coordination, compliance operations, or regulatory/audit support within healthcare, managed care, insurance, or another highly regulated environment required.
• 4+ years of progressive experience in project coordination, compliance operations, or regulatory/audit support within healthcare, managed care, insurance, or another highly regulated environment preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in healthcare compliance preferred.
• Proven ability to work independently, demonstrate professional judgment, manage competing priorities, and drive tasks to completion through influence and disciplined follow-up required.
• Experience supporting executive and cross-functional governance routines (including agenda development, materials curation, minutes/action items, decision logging, and closure tracking) required.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 (particularly Excel for pivot tables, lookups, charts/dashboards) and collaboration/document platforms (e.g., SharePoint or similar) to create scalable trackers, templates, and reports required.
• Experience coordinating or leading aspects of facilitating audits (both virtual and on-site), regulatory examinations, or monitoring activities required.
• Practical experience with compliance/GRC, ticketing, and workflow tools (e.g., Archer, ServiceNow, SharePoint, or similar platforms), including designing queues, standard fields, and reporting views preferred.
