This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the global compliance framework for Veda.

• Design, implement, and maintain compliance programs, policies, and procedures related to AML/CFT, sanctions, data security, third-party diligence, and other relevant areas.

• Monitor and analyze regulatory developments that impact decentralized finance.

• Ensure that products and client integrations adhere to financial and data protection laws, including GDPR or equivalent regional regulations.

• Manage compliance due diligence for client and partner relationships.

• Serve as the primary compliance liaison for regulators, auditors, and enterprise partners.

• Conduct ongoing monitoring and internal reviews.

• Lead internal investigations and ensure timely resolution of compliance issues.

• Maintain and report compliance metrics to the General Counsel and executive leadership.

• Coordinate responses to external audits, certifications, and regulatory examinations.

• Oversee and update compliance documentation, including AML policies, data retention, and information security standards.

• Support risk assessments and control testing.

• Collaborate with Product, Security, and Engineering teams on compliance and privacy-by-design principles.

• Develop and deliver targeted compliance training.

• Foster a proactive compliance culture.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance or regulatory roles within fintech, financial services, or cryptocurrency sectors.

• Strong knowledge of AML/CFT regulations, data protection laws, and financial regulatory frameworks pertinent to cryptocurrency and decentralized finance.

• Proven experience in managing compliance programs in regulated or partner-facing settings.

• Familiarity with decentralized finance and open-source ecosystems.

• A proactive, self-motivated approach and comfort in a fast-paced startup environment.
