Complex Claims Advisor – Workers Compensation Expert, OSIP Licensing, Litigation Strategy & Resolution

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Serve as the subject matter expert for the complex claims team within the department

• Offer guidance to maintain consistency in the resolution of complex claims

• Manage the inventory of complex claims while evaluating highly intricate claims issues

• Leverage jurisdictional knowledge and direct efforts toward achieving optimal resolutions

• Assess exposure and propose or guide action plans for resolving issues or cases

• Create clear and concise notes in files

• Organize roundtables and collaborate with both internal and external resources

• Provide technical leadership and share ownership of complex claim matters

• Assist in the evaluation and formulation of policies and procedures

• Mentor consultants, adjusters, and team leaders within the complex claims domain

• Facilitate calibration exercises to promote consistency

• Preferred Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university

• Preferred industry designations

• Licenses as mandated for specific jurisdictions

• Expertise in California with OSIP Certification

• Specialization in litigation strategies and resolutions

• Ability to think clearly and conceptually

• Exceptional judgment, problem-solving, analytical skills, and discretion

• Capacity to manage work-related stress

• Proficient in handling multiple priorities at once

• Ability to meet deadlines consistently

• Proficient in keyboarding tasks
