Compensation Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Oversee local market trend data and collaborate with the manager to ensure that compensation programs are competitive and aligned with the needs of local business units.

β€’ Manage direct compensation (both exempt and nonexempt cash compensation programs) which encompasses the processing, recording, and reporting of compensation-related activities.

β€’ Actively assist in configuring and testing Pay Factors and Workday advanced compensation, as well as maintaining ongoing utilization and evaluation of these tools.

β€’ Engage in and facilitate salary surveys for both exempt and nonexempt positions to guarantee that corporate compensation goals are met.

β€’ Acquire knowledge of local regulations to ensure that compensation programs comply with corporate policies and government laws.

β€’ Support the implementation and upkeep of compensation programs that meet business requirements, including conducting competitive analysis, internal impact assessments, cost projections, implementation strategies, and communication with HR management.

β€’ Offer data analytics assistance to the Compensation Manager and HR Business Partners to audit and deliver data insights that predict trends and proactively address business needs.

β€’ Collaborate with the HRIS team on the design and implementation of compensation programs, Workday configurations, reporting, etc.

β€’ Respond to inquiries from managers and employees regarding compensation programs.

β€’ Conduct job evaluations using market pricing, presenting results in a manner that promotes transparency and comprehension.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in human resource management, business, finance, economics, or related fields is required.

β€’ 0-2 years of experience in human resources and/or compensation is preferred.

β€’ Experience with base salary structures, short-term and long-term incentive programs, competitive market analysis, forecasting trends, costs, and modeling outcomes is advantageous.

β€’ Exceptional problem-solving skills, including the ability to clearly define issues, gather data (both primary and secondary), establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and communicate analyses effectively to stakeholders.

β€’ Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

β€’ Excellent customer service skills.

β€’ Capability to perform well under pressure.

β€’ Proficiency in managing multiple projects at once and adjusting to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.

β€’ Strong analytical skills.

β€’ Skills in compensation modeling and graphing using Excel.
