This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.
• Design, implement, and manage salary bands and grading structures that are in line with market data and the company's growth stage.
• Oversee annual compensation review processes, which include benchmarking, budget modeling, and calibration.
• Perform regular market analysis utilizing reference surveys (e.g., Mercer, Willis Towers Watson, Radford) to ensure competitiveness in the external market.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to create competitive offer packages and maintain consistency across the organization.
• Develop and oversee short-term and long-term incentive programs, including variable pay and equity plans.
• Manage and enhance the employee benefits portfolio continuously.
• Lead the renewal of benefits and vendor negotiations, ensuring both cost-effectiveness and high employee satisfaction.
• Administer flexible remuneration programs in compliance with Spanish tax and social security regulations.
• Track employee participation and satisfaction with benefits; recommend improvements based on data and feedback.
• Ensure that all compensation and benefits practices adhere to Spanish labor laws.
• Maintain the mandatory pay equity register (Registro Retributivo) and coordinate the Planes de Igualdad as necessary.
• Stay informed about regulatory changes and proactively update internal policies and practices.
• Work with legal counsel and external advisors on complex employment issues related to remuneration.
• Create and maintain dashboards and reports on compensation metrics, pay equity, headcount costs, and benefits utilization.
• Provide analytical support for workforce planning and headcount budgeting activities.
• Present data-driven recommendations to HR leadership and the executive team.
• Over 5 years of experience in Compensation & Benefits or Total Rewards, with a minimum of 2 years in a rapidly growing scale-up or technology-driven environment.
• Profound, demonstrable knowledge of Spanish labor law, social security regulations, and tax implications related to employee remuneration.
• Familiarity with the EU Pay Transparency Act and experience in compliance preparation.
• Practical experience with flexible remuneration schemes and the Registro Retributivo.
• Strong expertise in compensation benchmarking methodologies and job evaluation frameworks.
• Advanced analytical capabilities; proficient in Excel/Google Sheets and comfortable using HRIS and compensation tools.
• Ability to articulate complex topics clearly to non-specialist audiences, including senior stakeholders.
• Fluent in Spanish and possess professional-level English proficiency.
