This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.
⢠Lead the planning process for Stripe. You will take ownership of and implement the annual planning strategy, encompassing various offshoot workstreams and the decision-making frameworks utilized by leadership. Focus on continuously enhancing existing processes, automating manual workflows, and assisting in the design of more efficient methods for future tasks.
⢠Develop, automate, and scale the core operations infrastructure. You will pinpoint areas where manual, repetitive, or disjointed processes hinder efficiency and replace them with scalable systemsāwhether it's collaborating with others on structured data pipelines, AI-enhanced workflows, or innovative tools. Your primary inclination is to build rather than coordinate.
⢠Transform strategy into operational execution. Assist teams in facilitating strategic discussions within leadership forums through your insights and architectural approach. Prepare and conduct leadership-level operating forums, contribute your perspective, and ensure accountability for follow-up actions.
⢠Promote ongoing operational enhancements. You will engage directly with senior leaders at Stripe, challenging existing assumptions rather than simply executing them. You will maintain a continuous overview of where the company's operational systems are falteringāidentifying areas with slow decision-making, unclear handoffs, or vague accountabilityāand collaborate across teams to tackle underlying issues.
⢠15+ years of professional experience, primarily in operational roles within high-growth tech companiesāsuch as product operations, strategy and operations, business operations, or corporate planning.
⢠Proven success in developing and managing operational systems. You have significantly enhanced the operation of a company or large team, rather than merely overseeing existing processes.
⢠Extensive experience in company or functional planningāincluding annual planning, OKR and SOKR-style goal-setting, resource allocation, and designing operational cadences.
⢠A systems thinker with an automation-first mindsetāyou instinctively utilize tools, data pipelines, and AI-driven workflows to minimize manual tasks and maximize efficiency.
⢠Strong analytical capabilitiesāyou are adept at managing data and metrics, conducting your own analyses, and rigorously testing assumptions independently of a dedicated analytics team.
⢠Experience engaging directly with and presenting to C-suite and senior executive stakeholders. You are confident in leading discussions and providing a sharp, independent viewpoint.
⢠High comfort level with ambiguityāyou can define an undefined operational challenge, design a solution, and drive it to completion with minimal supervision.
⢠Technical expertise in AI tools for workflow automation as necessary.
⢠Experience implementing automation strategies and scalable approaches to operational workflowsāfrom analysis and synthesis to systems and decision support.
⢠Previous experience in a technology company is essential.
