This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Act as the main growth catalyst and market lead for a designated state or multi-county area within Pinnacle Treatment Centers' OTP/MAT service line.
• Take charge of professional referral development, account management, admissions expansion, brand visibility, and market intelligence across treatment centers within the assigned territory.
• Establish and maintain professional referral connections with courts, correctional facilities, hospitals, emergency departments, primary care providers, behavioral health professionals, social services, community organizations, and similar entities.
• Facilitate consumer-oriented outreach efforts to enhance brand recognition and diminish stigma.
• Work closely on a daily basis with program directors, medical directors, and clinical staff to ensure consistent capacity, quality, and follow-up.
• Engage in face-to-face interactions with referral sources and oversee territory growth and retention.
• Accurately record field activities in the CRM system.
• Strategize territory accounts, prioritize outreach efforts, and prepare call plans.
• Address referral-source service issues and uphold positive satisfaction levels.
• Adhere to EKRA, the Anti-Kickback Statute, HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and relevant state referral regulations.
• Safeguard patient confidentiality and ensure truthful representation of services, outcomes, and qualifications.
• Report any suspected compliance issues, conflicts of interest, or improper referral arrangements.
• Travel locally within the assigned territory, with occasional overnight and multi-day travel for conferences, training sessions, and coalition meetings.
• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, healthcare administration, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• At least three to five years of experience in business development, sales, account management, or community outreach, ideally within behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, healthcare, or a related human services sector.
• Proven experience managing a defined territory or account portfolio with measurable growth or retention outcomes.
• Experience with professional referral networks is highly preferred.
• Possession of a valid state driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
• A reliable personal vehicle is necessary.
• Solid understanding of the OTP and MAT clinical and regulatory landscape, including methadone and buprenorphine treatment models.
• Excellent consultative sales and relationship management abilities.
• Strong discipline in territory planning and account prioritization.
• Capability to independently manage a large, geographically diverse portfolio of accounts.
• Proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce or similar), Microsoft Office, and standard business communication tools.
• Certification as a peer recovery specialist, CADC credential, or equivalent SUD-related certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
• High School diploma/GED or higher.
• Valid Driver's License.
