Community Mortgage Loan Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Identifies, cultivates, and sustains a robust network of community organizations, Realtors, and local governmental agencies.

• Processes residential mortgage loan applications and conveys underwriting decisions.

• Enhances mortgage loan volume by concentrating on CRA, low-and moderate-income, and multicultural borrowers.

• Establishes partnerships with nonprofit entities, real estate professionals, and state and local housing offices.

• Represents the bank at community meetings and initiatives.

• Provides explanations of the diverse range of mortgage products and services available.

• Assists customers throughout the mortgage application journey.

• Maintains regular communication with customers, underwriters, processors, and others to ensure timely processing of applications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent progressive work experience.

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience required.

• Self-motivated with the capability to plan activities to meet sales targets.

• Exceptional time management abilities.

• Proficient PC skills, including familiarity with mortgage origination and automated underwriting systems.

• Must hold an active registration status with the NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry).

• Established connections with community organizations, municipalities, and agencies focused on affordable housing and first-time homebuyer education.

• Proven sales capabilities.
