Community Manager, Japanese-speaking

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Establish and cultivate a vibrant community of Japanese speakers.

• Attract new members while fostering an inclusive and lively environment.

• Participate in offline events and interact with community members in person.

• Oversee and manage the current Discord channel.

• Engage actively in chat conversations, assist in onboarding new members, and offer friendly support.

• Collect and disseminate user feedback to enhance the functionality of our platform.

• Address and resolve community disputes with professionalism.

• Track community metrics and organize engagement activities to encourage participation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native-level proficiency in the Japanese language.

• Over 1 year of experience as a Community Manager, Content Manager, or Social Media Manager in an online initiative.

• Proficient in English at a B2 level or higher, as our internal communication is primarily in English.

• Familiarity with Discord is highly advantageous!

• Highly literate, observant, and empathetic, with a strong awareness of community sentiment.

• Self-motivated and proactive — you take initiative and do not wait for instructions.

• Exceptional communication skills — diplomatic, open-minded, and emotionally intelligent.

• Experienced in conflict resolution and fostering a psychologically safe environment.
