This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +16 more states.
• Act as a representative for Medica at county meetings, health fairs, conferences, public forums, and community events.
• Plan, organize, and lead meetings, discussion groups, and special events.
• Identify and nurture partnerships to enhance outreach and strengthen ties with counties and community partners.
• Provide insights and updates to Medica leadership regarding issues that are significant to counties and supporting organizations.
• Keep detailed records of member and county engagement, contacts, and outreach activities within Medica’s CRM platform.
• Develop and foster partnerships and meaningful relationships with organizations across the Twin Cities and the Minnesota metro area.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in county relations, public health, social services, community outreach, or advocacy.
• Willingness to travel across the Minnesota regional area, including evenings and weekends.
• Capability to attend indoor and outdoor public events in various weather conditions.
• Ability to sit and stand for extended periods.
• Capacity to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Access to a reliable vehicle.
• Preferred experience of 2 years in relationship management with providers, counties, and community health organizations.
• Familiarity with healthcare and managed care, including Medicaid and Medicare.
• Bilingual Somali is highly preferred but not mandatory.
• Previous experience in healthcare is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and aptitude for relationship-building.
• Exceptional public speaking and presentation abilities.
• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively across teams.
• Cultural competency and ability to engage with diverse populations.
• Well-organized and detail-oriented with strong multitasking skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with virtual platforms such as WebEx and Zoom.
• Understanding of Healthy Communities principles and community health dynamics.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application.
