This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Foster, develop, and enhance NetBox’s worldwide community of practitioners, executives, contributors, and partners by identifying opportunities for NetBox Labs to engage consistently across digital platforms such as LinkedIn, Reddit, GitHub, Slack, Hacker News, industry Discords, and other forums.
• Actively oversee community discussions for technical inquiries and trends, collaborating with internal resources to facilitate responses or elevate product insights within the organization.
• Establish and launch the NetBox Heroes advocate program from inception. Identify, onboard, and empower community champions to create and disseminate content, present at events, and assist new users.
• Showcase success stories from the NetBox ecosystem through our blog, podcast series, community newsletters, webinars, and monthly community meetups (both virtual and in-person).
• Work in conjunction with the broader marketing team to convert community insights into compelling narratives that enhance awareness and trust in NetBox and NetBox Labs.
• Conduct monthly virtual community calls, including agenda preparation, speaker recruitment, and hosting duties.
• Develop and implement NetBox’s global meetup strategy, coordinating in-person regional community groups in strategic cities.
• 3–5 years of experience in community marketing, developer relations, technical advocacy, or similar roles in enterprise technology firms.
• 2+ years of experience in a dynamic startup environment, collaborating cross-functionally with product, engineering, and marketing teams.
• Proven experience in engaging and supporting technical communities, particularly in networking, infrastructure, automation, or open-source ecosystems.
• Demonstrated success in building, scaling, and nurturing community programs—including user groups, ambassador/advocate programs, meetups, or open-source contributor communities.
• Experience in event management, including virtual webinars, community meetups, or conference participation.
• Knowledge and proven experience in communicating with and working alongside technical audiences. (While you don't need to be a senior engineer, the ability to learn and communicate some technical language is essential.)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking or webinar hosting capabilities.
• Experience in building or engaging with technical communities—open-source experience is strongly preferred.
• Background in marketing, program management, developer relations, community management, or a related field.
• Ability to manage multiple programs, deadlines, and stakeholder groups effectively.
• Comfortable engaging daily across online forums and social media platforms.
