Community Based Qualified Mental Health Professional

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• We are looking for a candidate to join our Mental Health Skill-building (MHSS), Intensive In Home (IIH) program, and/or Crisis Programs.

• Responsible for managing a caseload of 4 clients from either program.

• Develop and implement individualized service plans while continuously documenting client progress.

• Connect individuals with community resources as required.

• Coordinate cases with various agencies.

• Educate individuals on daily living skills.

• Engage in supervision with a clinician and participate in staff meetings and training sessions.

• Complete and submit daily progress notes.

• Facilitate individual and family therapeutic sessions and interventions as specified in the individualized service plan.

• Provide on-call crisis intervention services to IIH clients as needed.

• Establish and nurture effective working relationships with professionals from other community agencies.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in the human services field is required.

• A minimum of one year of clinical experience working with children is necessary.

• Must be registered as a QMHP or QMHP Trainee through the VA Board of Counseling.

• At least one year of experience working with adults/children with severe diagnoses is essential.

• A valid Virginia driver’s license is required.

• Successful clearance of CPS and background checks is mandatory.

• Verification of pre-employment physical with TB screening results is required.

• Certification in CPR, First Aid, and agency-approved behavior management techniques must be obtained within the first month of employment and maintained thereafter.
