This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with Liftoff’s communications team to create and implement strategic communication plans for clients, customized to meet their objectives and target audiences.
• Formulate social media strategies and manage channel execution.
• Partner with clients to devise and implement both social and nontraditional media strategies.
• Assist in media preparation for candidates and organizational leaders, covering interviews, debates, speeches, and other public appearances.
• Produce engaging written content, including press releases, talking points, op-eds, and various external communication materials.
• Pitch and develop stories with reporters and influencers, nurturing strong relationships to secure coverage and placements.
• Organize client media interactions.
• Aid in crisis communication and rapid-response messaging.
• Plan and execute press-related events, such as press conferences and media roundtables.
• Assist clients’ internal communications teams in executing communication projects.
• Monitor and evaluate media coverage, identifying opportunities to enhance and amplify messaging.
• Work in collaboration with Liftoff’s advertising, creative, and digital teams to optimize communication and digital opportunities, ensuring message consistency across all channels.
• 3-5 years of experience in political communications, including at least one campaign cycle in a dedicated communications position.
• A proficient writer experienced in various forms of political writing, from long-form blog entries and op-eds to concise talking points and impactful social media content.
• A demonstrated history of successfully pitching stories to the media and achieving placements with influencers.
• Proven expertise in crafting persuasive messaging and tailoring communication strategies for diverse platforms and audiences.
• A strategic thinker with political acumen and the capacity to respond effectively under pressure.
• Outstanding organizational and time management abilities, with experience managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Experience in developing social media strategies and content across various platforms.
• A commitment to exceeding client expectations and a readiness to be part of a collaborative team that works beyond standard hours as needed.
