This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.
• Develop and execute comprehensive consumer education and marketing strategies for Thriving Wisconsin.
• Create, write, and distribute marketing and consumer education materials tailored for various stakeholder groups.
• Design print and digital brand and campaign assets while adhering to brand guidelines.
• Oversee and refresh the organization’s website and social media channels.
• Develop and implement a strategic social media calendar.
• Ensure communications are clear, culturally sensitive, accessible, and meet all accessibility standards.
• Manage the contact database using Constant Contact or similar web-based communication tools.
• Monitor media coverage related to child care and early childhood education while building media relationships.
• Create press releases, media kits, advisories, and maintain an online press center.
• Pitch stories that highlight program outcomes and statewide impact.
• Coordinate marketing initiatives with state and community-based partners, including CCR&R agencies and FRCs.
• Assist with marketing elements of the annual membership renewal process.
• Organize and lead marketing and communications Communities of Practice events.
• Ensure consistent language, branding, and website components across member agency websites.
• Coordinate outreach initiatives, events, and campaigns.
• Oversee the design, procurement, and distribution of promotional materials.
• Enhance public awareness of Thriving Wisconsin and its member agencies.
• Develop and promote consumer education campaigns and resources.
• Formulate media outreach strategies to acquire earned media coverage.
• Lead impact reports and data-driven storytelling for funders and policymakers.
• Create communications strategies that promote network-wide priorities.
• Attend monthly staff meetings and quarterly in-person gatherings.
• Uphold the agency's mission, vision, and strategic goals.
• Execute other duties as assigned.
• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, Public Relations, or a closely related field.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in communications, marketing, or programmatic support.
• Experience in nonprofit, human services, or early care and education is strongly preferred.
• Capability to lead complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and deliverables.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to convert complex systems change into compelling narratives.
• Diplomacy and a solutions-oriented approach to relationship-building with media, funders, and diverse community stakeholders.
• Capacity to work independently in a remote setting while remaining collaborative and team-oriented.
• Proficiency in managing competing demands, multitasking, and adjusting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Mastery of the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proficient in website design and maintenance software.
• Familiarity with major social media platforms.
• Experience with CMS platforms such as WordPress or similar.
• Preference for knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Constant Contact, and related digital design tools.
• Familiarity with Google Analytics or social media analytics platforms is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.
• Willingness to travel statewide, including overnight stays for quarterly meetings or events as necessary.
