Communications Manager – Public Affairs

📋 Description

• Create and implement a comprehensive communications strategy that showcases GE Vernova’s sustainability objectives, achievements, and collaborations across various channels (media, digital, internal).

• Collaborate with the Policy and Government Affairs (PGA) team to convey essential initiatives, advocacy priorities, and thought leadership in support of the energy transition.

• Draft and revise press releases, media materials, executive talking points, blogs, speeches, social media content, and internal communications that effectively illustrate GE Vernova’s sustainability and policy endeavors.

• Manage communications campaigns and initiatives from inception to completion—ensuring adherence to deadlines, maintaining quality, and maximizing impact.

• Collaborate closely with business unit communications leads, marketing, sustainability, legal teams, and external agencies to synchronize messaging and ensure consistency.

• Discover new opportunities, platforms, and formats to narrate GE Vernova’s story in innovative and compelling ways.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• 8 years of relevant experience.

• Understanding of energy and climate, sustainability, or associated public policy issues.

• Excellent written communication skills with the ability to articulate in a manner that emphasizes business benefits and outcomes.

• Innovative thinker, with a proven track record of generating new ideas and executing them from concept to implementation.

• Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving abilities.

• Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Willingness to travel as necessary and occasionally work outside of standard business hours.

• Availability to work during Eastern Standard Time (EST) business hours.
