Project Marketing Specialist, Communications

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Assist in climate action, workforce development, career pathways, and associated systemwide initiatives.

• Cultivate subject-matter expertise within designated portfolios.

• Evaluate project requirements, steer marketing strategies, and oversee project communication.

• Ensure that creative and communications efforts progress with clarity, accountability, and alignment.

• Act as the primary point of contact between program partners, Creative Services, external vendors, and internal collaborators.

• Review project intake documentation to pinpoint audience needs, strategic objectives, messaging gaps, timeline issues, deliverable requirements, and necessary creative inputs prior to production.

• Formulate and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to promote FoundationCCC’s programs, partnerships, and initiatives.

• Oversee digital advertising campaigns across multiple platforms and leverage analytics to evaluate marketing effectiveness, enhance campaigns, and guide future strategies.

• Create agendas, facilitate strategic meetings, monitor project milestones, manage budgets, and provide regular progress updates to stakeholders.

• Maintain precise project records in Asana, including project status, timelines, dependencies, owners, feedback, approvals, and final deliverables.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in integrated marketing communications, project management, content creation, and strategic campaign planning.

• Knowledge of California Community Colleges or higher education marketing.

• Outstanding writing, editing, and content strategy abilities across diverse media formats.

• Strong project management capabilities, including managing timelines, deliverables, dependencies, feedback, approvals, and competing priorities across multiple complex projects.

• Capacity to develop subject-matter expertise in assigned portfolios and apply that knowledge to marketing strategy, content development, and creative coordination.

• Proficient with digital advertising platforms, such as Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Facebook Ads, and related campaign management tools.

• Experience with analytics tools like Google Analytics, SproutSocial, or similar platforms to evaluate performance and inform strategy.
