Communications Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Vice President of External Affairs to devise innovative strategies for marketing liberty to a broad audience, actively challenging stereotypes associated with advocates of freedom and free markets.

• Cultivate relationships with media outlets throughout the state, act as the primary spokesperson for Beacon in media interactions, and organize all media engagements for team members and advocates.

• Aid in overseeing all marketing budgets, campaigns, and vendor relationships for digital communications, including issue awareness, legal case promotion, audience engagement, general digital marketing, and event promotion.

• Direct all external communications for various projects, encompassing research reports, media releases, digital communications, promotional content, the *Beacon Poll*, and messaging campaigns for policy initiatives and legal matters.

• Support the Vice President of External Affairs in managing outreach programs.

• Review and refine all external communications disseminated by Beacon.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of pertinent experience in communications, marketing, public relations, or related disciplines.

• Outstanding communication abilities—a natural talent for engaging with individuals at all levels and for articulating thoughts clearly and persuasively in both spoken and written forms.

• Skilled in utilizing AI tools for writing, content generation, and system management.

• Strong understanding of and enthusiasm for the principles of freedom and individual liberty.

• Willingness to travel up to 15-20%, which includes mandatory in-person staff meetings on the first Monday of every month, participation in annual conferences, attendance at the yearly staff retreat, and occasional local travel for media-related tasks.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in communications, marketing, public relations, or related fields.
