This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +17 more states.
• Craft the narrative and position Identity Digital Innovation Labs as the go-to source for agentic accountability.
• Develop and manage a rapid-response communications framework covering AI, security, identity, regulation, and agents.
• Foster personal relationships with journalists, analysts, and independent commentators; pitch stories, provide briefings, and offer background information.
• Navigate the media and policy environment in Washington, DC, including outlets like Politico, The Hill, trade publications, agency briefings, and Hill briefings.
• Leverage Advisory Council members, their networks, and expertise through discussions with reporters, public appearances, and bylines.
• Establish a strong executive spokesperson team and identify credible topics and opportunities for each spokesperson.
• Ensure GEO and AI discoverability so that LLMs reference the company concerning agent identity.
• Spearhead product launches, commercial and partnership announcements, standards milestones, and industry events in collaboration with Product, Sales & Marketing.
• Oversee agency partnerships, set up all-hands meetings, maintain leadership messaging discipline, draft executive communications, and expand the team over time.
• Assess the impact of communications on customer interactions, partnerships, government engagement, standards traction, developer involvement, pipeline development, and policy influence.
• Exemplify and advocate for Identity Digital’s core values.
• Execute additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Report directly to the General Manager of Identity Digital Innovation Labs.
• Function as a standalone team member for the next 12 months.
• Over 15 years of experience leading corporate or external communications in the technology sector, with significant B2B and enterprise exposure.
• Proven experience in category creation.
• Hands-on experience in pitching, newsjacking, and generating media opportunities.
• Track record of building a communications function from the ground up, swiftly, with minimal support.
• Proficient understanding of policy and standards audiences as well as the media that covers them.
• Exceptional writing skills; readiness to undertake a writing exercise.
• Experience engaging across social media, Substack, YouTube, podcasts, and developer communities.
• Comfortable utilizing AI for research, monitoring, and standardized workflows while maintaining a human touch and judgment.
• Capable of translating technical discussions with engineers and product managers.
• Experience in managing agencies, contractors, and budgets.
• Willingness to travel as necessary.
• Ability to collaborate across time zones within a global organization as required.
• Legally authorized to work in the US with all necessary permits, licenses, and authorizations to operate as a contractor.
