This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Edit content on the HR and FEAP websites.
• Create new webpages and develop meta descriptions.
• Support the annual benefits Open Enrollment campaign, which includes developing social media campaigns, graphic design, data analytics, and additional assistance.
• Help craft stories about outstanding UVA employees for distribution through various channels.
• Capture photos at UVA events and around Grounds for use on social media, websites, and promotional materials.
• Contribute creative content ideas for UVA Careers social media posts.
• Generate DubBot accessibility reports, monitor and report on improvements, and identify opportunities to enhance digital accessibility.
• Update HR employee lists using Excel spreadsheets.
• Provide support to team members on HR projects throughout the year.
• Report directly to the Director of HR Communications and receive regular project supervision from the Senior Communications Specialist.
• Collaborate with and offer support services to the six-person team.
• Current student at UVA.
• Must qualify for federal work-study.
• No previous experience necessary.
• No licensure required.
• A resume must be included with the application.
• Ability to work approximately 6–8 hours per week from early September through April, depending on the student’s schedule.
• Primarily sedentary role involving substantial desktop computer usage.
• Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings and programs.

• Training on Drupal CMS.
• Potential for extension beyond the expected assignment dates.
