This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Take charge of the daily management of IEEFA Australia’s social media platforms, including scheduling, publishing, and engaging with audiences.
• Collaborate with the Communications team to create effective social media content that simplifies complex, technical research for targeted audiences.
• Assist with timely responses by preparing and publishing content when pertinent topics are trending in the news cycle.
• Create and distribute IEEFA Australia’s stakeholder newsletters and EDMs, including layout design and sourcing or creating relevant images.
• Provide support to analysts in managing their social media accounts, ensuring they feel confident and skilled in sharing their research on LinkedIn.
• Be responsible for maintaining and enhancing IEEFA Australia’s contacts database and distribution lists.
• Aid in targeted outreach and engagement campaigns focused on report launches.
• Monitor IEEFA Australia’s media coverage along with relevant news in the energy and finance sectors.
• Track media impacts and engagement metrics while maintaining updates in the communications dashboard and regular reporting.
• Offer general communications and production support to the team, including updating project statuses in ClickUp and ensuring proper documentation practices.
• 1–4 years of experience in communications, social media, marketing, or media roles, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as communications, marketing, journalism, or public relations.
• Strong writing and copywriting abilities with excellent attention to detail, capable of adapting and simplifying complex information for social media and newsletters.
• A genuine interest and willingness to learn and grow within the PR and communications field.
• Highly organized and proficient in managing time and prioritizing tasks across competing demands, demonstrating a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to identify opportunities for enhancing operational processes and a readiness to implement improvements.
• Capable of working remotely while effectively collaborating with analysts and the communications team both locally and globally through online file-sharing and video-conferencing platforms (e.g., Slack, Box, G-Suite, ClickUp).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with familiarity in design or digital publishing tools considered advantageous.
