This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.
• Create and/or revise customized communication strategies for the MoW Programme as a whole.
• Generate high-profile materials, including news articles, success stories, press releases, brochures/one-pagers, and social media content to highlight project and programme accomplishments.
• Support the data gathering process for the 3rd Consultation of the UNESCO 2015 Recommendation on the Preservation and Access to Documentary Heritage, Including in Digital Form.
• Suggest concepts for engaging content such as infographics and audiovisual materials, and assist in their development and execution as necessary.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure uniform messaging and coherence with UNESCO’s communication strategies.
• Gather feedback on audience engagement or communication effectiveness related to the MoW Programme, and recommend improvements for outreach initiatives.
• Act as the primary contact for communication with Member States and oversee documentation related to the Jikji Prize.
• Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in communications, journalism, international relations, or social sciences.
• At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in communication, outreach, and advocacy, specifically in areas related to UNESCO, with preferably a minimum of 1 year at the international level.
• Proven experience in preparing and drafting high-quality visibility materials.
• Experience in developing and executing communication outreach strategies for broader dissemination of project results and enhancing organizational visibility at the international level.
• Excellent analytical, drafting, and editing proficiency in both English and French, with the capability to produce high-quality reports, news items, and other communication materials for international organizations.
• Strong analytical and research capabilities, including the ability to gather, evaluate, and synthesize information from various sources.
• Familiarity with content management systems, especially Drupal.
• Competence in using graphic design software such as Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate, advocate, and work collaboratively with colleagues, stakeholders, and partners both within and outside the Organization.
• Strong creative skills and the ability to deliver innovative communication solutions.
• Exceptional organizational, coordination, and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficient in English and possess a good command of French.
