Commodity Manager – MRO, CapEx

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for MRO and indirect material categories.

• Analyze expenditure data, supplier networks, and market trends to uncover opportunities for consolidation, cost reduction, and value enhancement.

• Lead competitive bidding initiatives and negotiate advantageous pricing, terms, and conditions.

• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to ensure procurement strategies align with operational requirements.

• Oversee sourcing initiatives for production equipment, automation systems, and facility infrastructure.

• Drive competitive RFQ/RFP processes for capital expenditure projects.

• Assess supplier technical capabilities and financial health to guarantee successful project execution.

• Support global manufacturing expansion, transfer, consolidation, and automation projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field is required.

• An advanced degree or CPSM/CPIM certification is preferred.

• Over 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, commodity management, or supply chain roles is preferred, with at least 2 years focused on MRO or indirect procurement within a manufacturing context.

• Strong skills in negotiation and contract management.

• Demonstrated success in achieving cost savings and enhancing supplier performance.

• An analytical mindset coupled with experience in spend analysis and market benchmarking.

• Ability to cultivate strong cross-functional relationships (engineering, operations, maintenance, finance).

• Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and procurement tools.

• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
