Commercial Underwriter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Conduct underwriting and provide quotes for commercial lines, including new business, renewals, endorsements, and risk evaluations.

• Manage policy administration, modifications, and premium adjustments on platforms within the Australian market.

• Assist the senior broker with communications between clients and insurers.

• Ensure the accuracy of records and compliance documentation in accordance with Australian regulatory standards.

• Oversee renewals management and provide proactive support for portfolio reviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in short-term insurance, with a strong emphasis on commercial lines.

• Proven tenure - a long-standing and stable career history is essential for this client.

• Must be RE5 / FAIS compliant.

• Matric is essential; a degree or diploma is advantageous.

• Proficient in written and spoken English - daily interaction with Australian brokers and clients is required.

• Must be comfortable working Australian business hours (AEST/AEDT), which corresponds to 4am - noon in South Africa.

• Must have reliable fibre internet at home with a minimum speed of 100/100 Mbps.

• South African citizen currently residing in South Africa.
